Stillness

Stillness.  Not much of it in our house these days.   Except for moments like this one.  Moments that sneak in and then swiftly escape.

This week has been nuts.   Hence, no stillness.  Chris had three internship interviews in two days.  So far he has one offer from Scholar’s Inn here in Bloomington, one 2nd round interview in Chicago next week, and has yet to hear back from the third company.   It’s also the end of the semester which for Chris means group projects and presentations, take-home final exams, and still more classes.  So we haven’t seen him much.  Arggh.  That makes dinner and bedtime especially rough for me, a tired tired tired mom of three boys.  Two who are ever so loud and rowdy!

Despite Chris being super busy, the days are going by so fast!  Cole and Max and I have been making chocolate peanut butter & banana smoothies most afternoons this week.  Just mix 1 or 2 bananas, 1/4 – 1/2 cup peanut butter, and 1 1/2 c. low-fat chocolate milk.  Instant yumminess!  Yesterday Cole and I googled knock-knock jokes, which was a blast.  And I took all three boys to the Clear Creek Trail today.  Cole rode his bike so confidently and Max zoomed along on his push tractor.  Zeke slept in the stroller, and I got some exercise.  A victory, I’d say!  Zeke has been sleeping well at night, waking only once between 3 and 4, and eating so well.  I’m not sure I could handle it if he wasn’t!
