Halloween Eve

Pumpkin carving:  Great in-house Halloween Eve date!   The boys didn’t seem to care much about carving the pumpkins this year.  Lucky for us! We actually had a real out-of-house date last night, too.  We ate out and went to see John Mellencamp play at the IU Auditorium.  He’s much older than I remember, but … Continue reading

Pose

This is Zeke’s latest pose.  I wonder how soon he’ll be moving around!

Together

They explored the pumpkin guts. They watched, counted, and waved to the cars passing by on the bypass (a major road that our neighborhood backs up to). Helpful

Last weekend Cole spent Sunday afternoon helping our neighbor, Dave, with his leaves.  His favorite part was sweeping the leaves into the huge grinder while wearing the soundproof headset!

Bobbing

Cole has been begging to bob for apples.  It was hilarious…and much harder than they thought!

Snowshoe

Won. Der. Ful.  That’s what last weekend was.   I spent it with 7 dear friends from college in Snowshoe, West Virginia.  We cooked, ate, slept, talked, hiked, and laughed a whole whole lot.  Won. Der. Ful.

Superstar

Straight No Chaser happened to be in Bloomington today on their way to Illinois, so we got a chance to hang out with Uncle Mike.   Cole and Max sure think he’s a superstar!   We played 4 games of Crazy Eights this afternoon and believe it or not, Cole won 2 games and Max … Continue reading

Apples

My mom, grandma, the boys, and I picked apples last week at Anderson Orchard.  It was a perfect afternoon!  We picked 4 bags of apples between us and then enjoyed an apple cider slushie.  Cole and Max climbed some apple trees, too, and Cole helped me make 2 apple pies on Sunday.  Mmm mm good!
