I learned from my mom about baking and giving. Growing up (and still), not a Christmas went by without frosting cookies with Christmas tunes blaring in the background. And for the last several years, my mom and some of her friends have cranked out over a thousand delicious cookies to deliver to friends and family in mid-December. I participated one year and, woah, is it a huge undertaking! I bowed out after that and instead just make my own to give to the neighbors on our street. Fourteen houses in all, much more manageable. And today was the day! We delivered our cookies, and found someone home at every house. One guy even offered us money! We told him that it was just a gift, and he seemed a bit baffled. The cutest part was when Zeke shouted “Merry Christmas!” It’s a really fun tradition, and yummy too!
